Cookie policy
Last updated:
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on the website differantlabs.com, owned by Differant Labs S.L., in accordance with article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) and the Spanish Data Protection Agency’s Guide on the use of cookies (updated July 2023).
In short: we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The only technologies involved are strictly necessary for security and are therefore exempt from consent. That is why the website does not show a cookie banner.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser so that it can recognise the browser or remember information on later visits or requests. Similar technologies, such as local storage or scripts that read technical characteristics of your device, work in a comparable way; this policy covers them too and, for simplicity, calls all of them “cookies”.
Some cookies are strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested or to keep it secure. Others are used for analytics, personalisation or advertising, and those require your prior consent.
2. Cookies used on this website
Differant Labs does not set any cookies of its own. The website has no analytics, advertising or social media plugins: the LinkedIn and GitHub icons are plain links and load nothing from those networks unless you click them. Fonts are hosted on our own website.
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., and the contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. These services may use the following strictly necessary technologies:
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare Turnstile (technical data and, within its own frame, cookies or local storage) | Cloudflare, Inc. (third party) | Anti-bot check that protects the contact form against spam and abuse. The Turnstile script is loaded with the page, but the check only runs when you open the contact form. It reads technical signals from your browser and device; it is not used for advertising or to track you across websites. | Session, or the short time the check needs |
__cf_bm |
Cloudflare, Inc. (third party) | May be set by Cloudflare to tell people from malicious bots and protect the website against automated attacks. | 30 minutes |
cf_clearance |
Cloudflare, Inc. (third party) | May be set only if Cloudflare shows you a security challenge, to remember that you passed it. | A short period set in Cloudflare’s security settings (usually minutes to hours) |
These technologies are strictly necessary to keep the website, and the contact form you choose to use, secure. Under article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE they therefore do not require consent. Information on how Cloudflare processes this data is available in Cloudflare’s cookie policy and the Turnstile privacy addendum. How we process the personal data you send through the form is explained in our privacy policy.
3. How to manage or delete cookies
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Help pages for the most common browsers:
If you block these strictly necessary technologies, the contact form may not work. You can always write to us at hello@differantlabs.com instead.
4. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if the technologies used on the website change. If we ever add cookies that are not strictly necessary, such as analytics, we will ask for your consent before using them. The date at the top shows the current version.
If you have any question about this policy, write to us at hello@differantlabs.com.
